another wtf night in our household. his secretary called me at 4:15 to give me the heads up that he had left work. he showed up at 4:41...that's a 10 minute drive on any given day. 15 minutes tops, during 'rush hour'.

so, we are talking and i'm trying to ignore the fact that i'm 99.9% sure he's had something to drink.

we watched "Chuck" that I had Tivo'd from the night before, and as he does when he's been drinking, he talked through most of it.

i heard him mumbling to himself and he was glaring at me an awful lot...i just kept trying to concentrate on the tv.

out of the blue he asks me if i had gotten my old roommates invitation to her 50th birthday, in april. she wants to go to vegas. i had asked her a couple of weeks ago if it was couples or just the girls, and her reply was 'couples'...of course this gives me pause, because casinos just hand out drinks like candy.

anyway, he makes this snotty comment, "i'm not going to vegas to celebrate her birthday." i don't comment. then he says, "you can go if you want" and you know, i'm not biting, because by now it's obvious he's been trying to pick a fight with me from the time he got home.

his final comment was, "if you go remember what happens in vegas stays in vegas and what happens in auburn stays in auburn."

so i take that challenge and say "what?" he tries to pass it off as his trying to be funny and i just comment that it was very random.

this awarded me more glares.

later, as i'm fixing his dinner i notice him digging in the salad and eating, so i say, "do you mind not eating the salad, that's my dinner", because you know he's getting steak and i'm back on metabolic, so i'm trying to keep my protein portions down.

he throws down a fork and stomps off...gone to bed for the night...at 6:45 p.m.

he is so fucking weird when he drinks. he says the weirdest and most random shit that makes no sense. i guess it's the way his brain is wired now? it's heartbreaking, because he's a smart guy.

this weird isn't funny, it's scary.
